Hostal Providencia would like to extend a warm welcome to the group of teachers from the TeachingChile program joining us within the next few weeks. We hope they enjoy their stay here at Hostal Providencia, where our personality, comfort, location, and charm could surely banish any doubt that Santiago is one of the greatest cities anyone could ever visit.

We will be arranging a wide variety of tours, activities, and events with some partner tour companies and guides- even hosting some ourselves (you haven’t lived until you join us in a Hostal Providencia ‘Asado’). The local flavors we supply will surely satisfy!

Hostal Providencia recommends the BEST SINGLE’S CARNIVAL for Valentine’s day!
There will be LOVE Drink Specials all night long, great music, and as usual, the BEST LOOKING People in Santiago!

There will be a DJ Spinning (DJ SNAKE), so don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Come dressed in GREEN, PURPLE and YELLOW and don´t forget your mask and beads!

Bar Restaurant Les Assassins

Close to Hostel Providencia you will find “Les Assassins”, a bar/restaurant inspired by a famous typical French bistro in Paris called “Aux Assassin”. Opened in 1965, this authentic restaurant is cosy, family friendly and perfect for a nice dinner with lovely french background music. Their special plates are “Soupe a l’Oignon”, “Atún Meuniere”, “Steak au Poivre”, “Boeuf Bourguignon” and the “Lenguado en Salsa de Jaivas”. The staff speaks French and English. It is not the cheapest dinner option you can get, but definitely worth trying! Bon Appétit !!!

Thai House

Within a walking distance of 10 to 15 minutes of Hostal Providencia you will find the Thai House, excellent for a lunch or tea time in Asian style. We definitely recommend the “Pad Thai” and the delicious green tea cake with white chocolate is our favorite desert, yummm…..

Vituperio

An excellent place to have lunch!!! Vituperio mixes traditional food with different flavors of the world. Decorated with old newspapers from the 1900′s this place has style and calm vibes. Go there for Crepes, Pizzas and Special Plates (highly recommended to those on diet for the spring/summer season). They have tasty coffees, cappuccinos and natural juices all served by their charming owners… Just go there and try it!! Moreover, there’s free Wi-Fi for the clients.
